The focus is on having fun and learning new patterns! As well as djembe (hand drums), there will be the option to learn balafon (African xylophone) and bass drums (played with sticks).

This one-time workshop will be held on May 9th from 1-3 pm at the Hand Drum Rhythms Studio (17 Harrowby Avenue). Cost is $40 and pre-registration is required.

- Djembe Patterns. Learn how to play specific patterns that make you sound good both on your own, and in a group.
- Ensemble Parts. Learn how to fit your playing in with a group to create synergy. Understand the patterns interlock.
- Build Confidence. Grow your skills. Find your groove with fellow drum enthusiasts and try out easy patterns on other instruments like bass drums, balafon, bells and shakers.
